A new division to the company is decontamination management for dealing with issues related to chemicals, pathogens, Ozoning - (O3), fires and floods. Our response teams deal effectively with spillage retrieval, deodorising with the use of ozone, fire and flood remedial work. This includes pumping, decontamination and disinfectant of all buildings.

Chemicals

Ashley Group response team will stop the spread of spills to land and waterways and will carry out spillage retrieval. Once we have identified the contaminant we follow pre-arranged procedure for dealing with it.

 Premises at risk from chemical spills include car showrooms, filling stations, plant hire depots, railway depots, vehicle auction premises, schools and hospitals.

Pathogens
Disaster debris commonly comprises ash, sludge, and possibly sewage. The first task is the physical removal of the debris then comes the elimination of pathogens and evil smells. We use ozone O3 for this. Ozone is a long established disinfectant and is present in the atmosphere. After a disaster, or as a non-emergency procedure, we can come to your premises with an ozone generator and then pump ozone into the contaminated area. Ozone will oxidize, and so neutralise any odours, bacteria, viruses or fungi. Ozone is effective for decontaminating fire-damaged buildings, hospitals, banks, hotels, rail carriages and homes.
 
Fire
We will attend any building immediately after a fire and protect its contents from further smoke and chemical reaction damage. We will prepare an inventory after which any item can be removed for refurbishment or disposal. Our staff can decontaminate soft furnishings, furniture, books, documents and electrical, mechanical, and medical equipment. It is often quicker and cheaper to restore than to replace. We can restore small items using equipment carried in our response vans; we can take the larger to a cleaning compound.
 
Flood
Response times are critical to owners and their insurers as more speed means less damage. Once the source of the flood has been stopped, we will pump dry and carry out repairs. Sewage or chemical contaminated water will be disposed of. We attend floods in factories, offices, warehouses, and homes: wherever we are, we always work with the minimum of fuss.
